I love me some DC blogs. But the more of them I read, the harder it is to keep track of them all, especially when some only post once a week, or once a month. Checking for new posts is quickly becoming agonizing, akin to dental work.
So, being a computer guy, I've created a website that allows all you local bloggers to make your blogs subscribable, so that your readers can subscribe to your blog and be notified each time you add a new post. That way your readers will know when you add new stuff, and will keep coming back even if you don't post for a while. Kind of like RSS? Well, yes, but better. For example, you can also use the site to see who your subscribers are, how many of them you have, and some other nice statistics.
Want to try it out? Here's what to do:
1) Go to my site Subscribomatic and register an account. Then log in and take a quick look around.
1) Follow the instructions for making your web page subscribable.

That should do it. You should be able to see your blog's statistics (none, at this point) by clicking on the "pages" tab and then clicking on the blog's title. It will show you how many subscribers you have, the change from the past month and will display a graph of subscriber activity, as well as a form for updating your subscribers after you add a new post to your blog.
